Verily Allah knows (all) the hidden things of the heavens and the earth: verily He has full knowledge of all that is in (men's) hearts. 38 It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss. 39 Say thou: what bethink ye of your associate-gods upon which ye call besides Allah? Show me whatsoever they have created of the earth. Or, have they any partnership in the heavens? Or have We vouchsafed to them a Book so that they stand on an evidence therefrom? Nay! the wrong-doers promise each other only delusions. 40 ۞ Indeed Allah restrains the heavens and the earth from convulsing; and were they to convulse, who could stop them except Allah? Indeed He is Most Forbearing, Oft Forgiving. 41 They swore their strongest oaths by Allah that if a warner came to them, they would follow his guidance better than any (other) of the Peoples: But when a warner came to them, it has only increased their flight (from righteousness),- 42 (Shown in their) behaving arrogantly in the land and plotting evil; and the evil plot encloseth but the men who make it. Then, can they expect aught save the treatment of the folk of old? Thou wilt not find for Allah's way of treatment any substitute, nor wilt thou find for Allah's way of treatment aught of power to change. 43 Have they not travelled in the land, and seen what was the end of those before them, and they were superior to them in power? Allah is not such that anything in the heavens or in the earth escapes Him. Verily, He is AllKnowing, AllOmnipotent. 44 If God were to seize men for their doings, not a living being would be left upon the earth. But He gives them respite for a time ordained. When their time is come, surely God will keep (the interest of) His creatures in view. 45

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
