and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
