To whosoever blinds himself from the Remembrance of the Merciful, We shall assign him a satan so he is his companion, 36 whereupon, behold, these [evil impulses] bar all such from the path [of truth,] making them think that they are guided aright! 37 Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade! 38 And it will profit you not today, because ye have done wrong, that ye are in the torment sharers. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 We shall revenge them either after your death 41 Rather We will certainly show you that which We have promised them; for surely We are the possessors of full power over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 The Quran is a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be questioned about it. 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
