And assuredly Harun had said unto them afore: O my people! ye are only being tempted thereby; and verily your Lord is the Compassionate; so follow me and obey my command. 90 They said "So long as Moses does not come back we are not going to give it up, and we will remain devoted to it." 91 [Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, 92 That thou followedst me not? Hast thou then disobeyed my order? 93 'Son of my mother' he replied, 'Do not seize my beard nor my head. I was afraid that you might say: "You have divided the Children of Israel and did not uphold my word." 94 [Musa (Moses)] said: "And what is the matter with you. O Samiri? (i.e. why did you do so?)" 95 He replied, "I had the skill (of carving) which they did not have. I followed some of the Messengers's (Moses) tradition, but I then ignored it. Thus, my soul prompted me (to carve a golden calf with an artificial hollow sound). 96 (Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say, 'touch me not'; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: Now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: We will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!" 97 But the god of you all is the One Allah: there is no god but He: all things He comprehends in His knowledge. 98 This is how We relate the former tidings to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him); and We have given you a Remembrance* from Ourselves. (*The Holy Qur’an.) 99 Whoso turneth away from it, he verily will bear a burden on the Day of Resurrection, 100 As abiders therein. And vile will it be for them on the Day of Judgment as a load! 101 The day when the Trumpet is blown. On that day we assemble the guilty white-eyed (with terror), 102 They shall consult together secretly: You did tarry but ten (centuries). 103 We know best what they say, when the fairest of them in course would say: You tarried but a day. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
