Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
