O Ye who believe! obey Allah and His apostle and turn not away therefrom while ye hearken. 20 And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not. 21 ۞ Verily the vilest of beasts with Allah are the deaf and dumb who understand not. 22 If God had known of any good in them He would have made them hear; and if He had made them hear, they would have turned away, swerving aside. 23 O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 And guard against the mischief that will not only bring punishment to the wrong-doers among you. Know well that Allah is severe in punishment. 25 Remember, when you were few and powerless in the land, afraid of despoliation at the hands of men. But then God sheltered and helped you to strength, and provided for you good things that you may perhaps be grateful. 26 [Hence,] O you who have attained to faith, do not be false to God and the Apostle, and do not knowingly be false to the trust that has been reposed in you; 27 And know that your possessions and your children are a test, and that with Allah is immense reward. 28
