The Spider (Al-Ankaboot)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? 2 We indeed tested those before them – so Allah will surely test the truthful, and will surely test the liars. 3 Or do those who do ill-deeds imagine that they can outstrip Us? Evil (for them) is that which they decide. 4 Whoso looks to encounter God, God's term is coming; He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 5 And whosoever strive, striveth only for himself: verily Allah is Independent of the worlds. 6 as for those who have faith and do good works, We shall certainly cleanse them of their evil deeds and reward them according to the best of their actions. 7 We have charged the human to be kind to his parents. But if they bid you to associate with Me that which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me you will return, and I shall inform you of all that you have done. 8 And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will most surely cause them to enter among the good. 9 Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah"; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men's oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah! And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation? 10 Most certainly God will mark out those who believe and mark out those who are hypocrites. 11 The unbelievers say to the believers, 'Follow our path, and let us carry your offences'; yet they cannot carry anything, even of their own offences; they are truly liars. 12 And verily, they shall bear their own loads, and other loads besides their own, and verily, they shall be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about that which they used to fabricate. 13
