Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Woe to the liars 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
