Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." 30 ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 We saved the believers among them, 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority, 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 And [you have the same message] in [what happened to the tribe of] Ad, when We let loose against them that life-destroying wind 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
