We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
