▼ 51 Drivers of the Winds
Al-Dhaareyaat 3 of 3
And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander. 47 And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out. 48 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 “And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 51 Even so not a Messenger came to those before them but they said, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 52 Have they inherited such dealings with the Prophets from their predecessors or are they a rebellious people? 53 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them (Quraish pagans) you are not to be blamed (as you have conveyed Allah's Message). 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I desire from them no provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Woe, then, unto those who disbelieve in their Day which they are promised. 60

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
