Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
