The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
