The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
