Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say, "It is great news 67 yet you ignore it. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
