۞ And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. 57 And they say, "Are our gods best, or he?" This they set forth to thee, only by way of disputation: yea, they are a contentious people. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 And when Jesus came with the clear signs he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear you God and obey you me. 63 "Verily, God is my Sustainer as well as your Sustainer; so worship [none but] Him: this [alone] is a straight way!" 64 Yet the parties differed among themselves. So woe to those who did evil among the punishment of a Painful Day. 65 Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not? 66 Friends on that day will be foes one to another, save those who kept their duty (to Allah). 67
