The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; surely you are on the clear truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
