The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
