Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot). 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They said, “In fact we have brought to you the matter which these people doubted.” 63 and we are bringing thee the certainty [of its fulfilment]: for, behold, we are speaking the truth indeed. 64 "Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered." 65 We issued this command to him, for they were going to be destroyed in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 And lo! it is upon a road still uneffaced. 76 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 77 And indeed the Dwellers of the Woods were unjust. 78 So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. 79

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
