۞ It is Allah Who created you in a state of weakness; then after weakness He gave you strength, then after strength He made you weak and old. He creates what He pleases. He is All-Knowing, All-Powerful. 54 Upon the Day when the Hour has come, the harmdoers will swear that they had stayed no more than an hour. As such they are deceived. 55 but those endowed with knowledge and faith will say, "Indeed, you did tarry, as God ordained, till the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection: but you were not aware of it." 56 And so, on that Day their excuse will be of no avail to those who were bent on evildoing, nor will they be allowed to make amends. 57 And assuredly We have propounded for mankind, in this Qur'an, every kind of similitude; and if thou bringest unto them a sign, those who disbelieve are sure to say: ye are but followers of falsehood. 58 Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know. 59 So have thou patience; verily the promise of Allah is true. And let not make thee impatient those who have no conviction. 60
