If they turn away you tell them: "Bear witness that we submit to Him." 64 Ask the People of the Book, "Why do you argue about Abraham? The Torah and Gospel were revealed only after him. Why do you not understand? 65 Remember you are those who disputed the things you knew; so wherefore dispute about things you do not know? And God has the knowledge, while you do not know. 66 No; Abraham in truth was not a Jew, neither a Christian; but he was a Muslim and one pure of faith; certainly he was never of the idolaters. 67 Of all men the nearest to Abraham are those who follow him, and then this Prophet and the faithful; and God is the protector of all believers. 68 A party of the followers of the Book desire that they should lead you astray, and they lead not astray but themselves, and they do not perceive. 69 People of the Book! Why do you deny God's signs, having been witnesses thereof? 70 People of the Book! Why do you confound Truth with falsehood, and why do you conceal the Truth knowingly? 71
