AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 They used to say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would be helped, 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
