Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Dispel evil with what is good. We know well what they attribute (to Us). 96 And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say: "We stayed for a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count of this." 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
