O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is a sickness, and the scandal mongers in Madinah do not desist from their vile acts, We shall urge you to take action against them, and then they will hardly be able to stay in the city with you. 60 Accursed; wherever found they shall be laid hold of and slain with a relentless slaughter. 61 Such has been God's way with those who [sinned in like manner and] passed away aforetime - and never wilt thou find any change in God's way! 62 (Muhammad), people ask you about the Day of Judgment. Say, "Only God has knowledge about it. Perhaps the Hour of Doom will soon come to pass." 63 God has condemned the unbelievers and prepared for them a burning torment 64 therein they shall abide for ever. They shall find none to protect or help them. 65 The day their faces would be turned on the fire (as on a spit), they will say: "Alas! If only we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Prophet." 66 And they shall say: 'Our Lord, We obeyed our masters and our eminent ones, but they misled us from the way. 67 Our Lord! give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse!" 68
