The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 and when the earth is stretched out 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality). 5 O man! verily thou art toiling toward thy Lord a painful toiling, and art about to meet Him. 6 So whoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand – 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 he will in time pray for utter destruction: 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 and the night, and what it [step by step] unfolds, 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 That you will climb from stage to stage. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 (Muhammad), tell them that they will all suffer a painful torment 24 But those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be a hire unending. 25
