Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
