So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 he said: "Surely you are an unknown folk." 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 and we are bringing thee the certainty [of its fulfilment]: for, behold, we are speaking the truth indeed. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We made plain the case to him, that the root of them (who did wrong) was to be cut at early morn. 66 And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival). 67 rushed towards the house of Lot. Lot said to them, "These are my guests. Do not disgrace me. 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They said, 'Have we not forbidden thee all beings?' 70 Lot said, "These are my daughters if you want them." 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 And thereupon the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at the time of sunrise, 73 and We turned it uppermost nethermost and rained on it stones of baked clay. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 So We took vengeance on them. Both are still there on the highway, plain for all to see. 79

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
