With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Even so not a Messenger came to those before them but they said, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 52 Have they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. 55 And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 So woe to the unbelievers, for that day of theirs that they are promised. 60
