Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 Then he uncovered his hand and it was sheer white to the onlookers. 33
