Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
