So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to [accept] Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah. Those are in manifest error. 22 Allah hath revealed the most excellent discourse, a Book consimilar oft-repeated, whereat trembleth the skins of these who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts soften at the remembrance of Allah. This is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whomsoever He will. And whomsoever Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. 23 Is he, then, who will shield himself with his face from the evil of torment on the Day of Resurrection be as he who is secure therefrom? And it shall be said unto the wrong-doers: taste ye that which ye have been earning. 24 Those before them denied, and so the doom came on them whence they knew not. 25 Then God made them taste of disgrace in this life; and the torment of the life to come is greater, if they understand. 26 Indeed, We have struck of every manner of parable for mankind in this Koran in order that they will remember. 27 Koran, wherein there is no crookedness; haply they will be godfearing. 28 Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! But most of them do not know. 29 Verily thou art mortal, and verily they are mortals. 30 and then, behold, on the Day of Resurrection you all shall place your dispute before your Sustainer. 31
