Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
