Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 He abandoned his people 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 we are the rangers, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
