3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
