Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
