Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
