Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
