The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
