Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
