And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
