1/2 Hizb 33

۞ And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing 51 when he said to his father and his people, 'What are these statues unto which you are cleaving?' 52 They said: we found our fathers the worshippers thereof. 53 He said: Certainly you have been, (both) you and your fathers, in manifest error. 54 They asked: "Hast thou come unto us [with this claim] in all earnest - or art thou one of those jesters?" 55 He said: "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them and of that I am one of the witnesses. 56 And, by God, I shall assuredly outwit your idols, after you have gone away turning your backs.' 57 So he broke them into pieces, except the chief of them, that haply they may return to it. 58 They said, 'Who has. done this with our gods? Surely he is one of the evildoers.' 59 They said: "We heard a youth talk about them. He is called Abraham." 60 They said, 'Bring him before the people's eyes; haply they shall bear witness.' 61 They said: Have you done this to our gods, O Ibrahim? 62 He said, 'No; it was this great one of them that did it. Question them; if they are able to speak!' 63 Thereupon they turned to their (inner) selves and said (to themselves): "Surely it is you who are the wrong-doers." 64 Again they were inverted upon their heads; saying, “You know well that these do not speak.” 65 He said: worship ye, then, beside Allah, that which profiteth you not at all, nor it hurteth you? 66 Shame on you and on whatever you worship instead of God. Can you not understand?" 67 They said, "Burn him to ashes if you want to help your gods". 68 We said to the fire, "Be cool and peaceful (with Abraham)". 69 And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers. 70 And We rescued him and Lout (Lot) to the land which We have blessed for the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 71 And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous. 72 And We made them leaders, guiding (men) by Our Command, and We sent them inspiration to do good deeds, to establish regular prayers, and to practise regular charity; and they constantly served Us (and Us only). 73 We bestowed upon Lot sound judgement and knowledge, and We delivered him from the city that was immersed in foul deeds. They were indeed a wicked people, exceedingly disobedient. 74 and We admitted him into Our mercy; he was of the righteous. 75

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
