Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
