The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
