Nay! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
