Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
