Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Most Honourable, the Wise. 2 Surely in the heavens and earth there are signs for the believers; 3 And in your creation, and all the beasts that He scattereth in the earth, are portents for a folk whose faith is sure. 4 and in the alternation of the night and day, in the provision Allah sends down from heaven with which the earth is revived after its death, and in the changing about of the winds, there are signs for people who understand. 5 These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth; then in what announcement would they believe after Allah and His communications? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. 8 And when he cometh to know aught of Our revelations, he taketh it scoffingly. These! theirs shall be a torment ignominous; 9 Behind them Gehenna; and that they have earned shall not avail them aught, nor those they took as protectors, apart from God; for them awaits a mighty chastisement. 10 This Book is guidance, and those who disbelieve in the revelations of their Lord, theirs shall be torment of calamity, afflictive. 11
