The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 (Lord), You alone We do worship and from You alone we do seek assistance 5 Guide us in the straight path, 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
