The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful 3 Lord of the Day of Judgment! 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Guide us the straight way. 6 The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
