Al-Maa 'edah 16 of 16
And when Allah said: '(Prophet) Jesus, son of Mary, did you ever say to the people: "Take me and my mother for two gods, other than Allah?" 'Exaltations to You' he said, 'how could I say that to which I have no right? If I had said that, You would have surely known. You know what is in my self, but I do not know what is in Yours. Indeed, You are the Knowledgeable of the unseen. 116 "I did not tell them anything except what You commanded me to tell them. I told them that they must worship God who is everyone's Lord. I watched them as long as I was among them until You raised me to Yourself and You Yourself had also watched over them; You are Omnipresent. 117 You may punish Your servants or forgive them for You are Majestic and Wise." 118 God will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness. They shall forever dwell in Gardens through which rivers flow. God is pleased with them and they with Him: that is the supreme triumph. 119 Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is in them; and He has power over all things. 120
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Feast (Al-Maa 'edah). Sent down in Medina after Victory (Al-Fatt-h) before Repentance (At-Tawba)
