Say thou: verily I am forbidden to worship those whom ye call upon beside Allah. Say thou: I shall not follow your vain desires, for then I shall be gone astray, and shall not remain of the guided. 56 Say: 'I take stand upon a clear evidence from my Lord and it is that which you have given the lie to. That which you desire to be hastened is not within my power. Judgement lies with Allah alone. He declares the Truth, and He is the best judge.' 57 Say: 'If what you seek to hasten were with me, the matter between you and me would be decided; and God knows very well the evildoers.' 58 ۞ And with Him are the keys of the Unseen; none knoweth them but He. And He knoweth whatsoever is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, nor a seed-grain groweth in the darkness of the earth, nor aught of fresh or dry but is in a Book luminous. 59 It is He who keeps you alive in your sleep at night and knows all that you do during the day. He wakes you up from your sleep to complete your worldly life, after which you will all return to Him. He will let you know all about what you had done in your worldly life. 60
